Welcome to the Bad Elephant Blog.  It will become obvious to anyone who reads that I was born with my left blinker stuck on.   For a long time, I have thought about starting a blog but recently the desire to correct the inaccurate, downright incorrect, and blasphemous history spouted by people who attempt to wrap themselves in the flag and our history.   If you want to claim history as your birthright, you could at least have the decency to know what that history is and tell it correctly.  This blog will be my attempt to correct the outrageous historical claims made by so many, particularly on the right.
